Dokuwiki is an open source wiki - a website that allows collaborative editing of its content and structure.
I chose Dokuwiki for documenting my homelab based on:
Easy of installation and use
Its use of flat files rather than a database
Low system resource requirements
Active user and developer community
Large variety of useful extensions (including one that hides sensitive information from all eyes but mine)
